Asian Charity Services Limited (ACS) is a registered nonprofit organization founded in 2007 with the aim to empower and equip nonprofit organizations to expand their organizational capacity and develop their own people. Based in Hong Kong, we are committed to capacity building through the provision of consulting and training services to high-potential nonprofits serving the communities in Asia.

Capacity building has fast become a major topic among the nonprofit, government and the private sectors as nonprofits play an increasingly important role in our society. To be successful in effecting long-term and enduring impact on the society, companies and foundations need to demonstrate a new commitment to investing in the organizational capacity of the nonprofits they engage with.
There are many different definitions to capacity building and we define it as actions that create a positive impact on the organizational capacity and members of the nonprofits and thereby improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the nonprofits’ impact on the communities they serve. These nonprofits will be able to enhance their ability to work towards their missions.
We as individuals and part of the community where social solidarity is be respected should operate in mutually reinforcing ways and organizations are accountable to the communities where they operate. It is imperative for organizations to work hand in hand with the nonprofits. To enable this, ACS encourages, advises and supports organizations that wish to invest their resources in capacity building by leveraging their core competencies and expertise. We also encourage nonprofits to work with each other and share best practices.
