#SupportOurChampions - Community Support Platform

Our Community Support Platform profiles more than 80 small to medium sized nonprofit organisations in Hong Kong, across 9 different service sectors, which serve the community and do impactful work everyday without guaranteed funding sources. We invite potential funders and other resource partners to learn more about our Champion organisations, their impact on their service users, and their current needs, and to connect with them. The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust - COVID-19 Emergency Fund

Responding to the latest wave of the pandemic, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust (“the Club”) injects HK$100 million to its COVID-19 Emergency Fund (“the Fund”) to provide fast-track grants to NGOs offering quick, specific and innovative services to people hard-hit by the pandemic, fostering mutual help in the community to fight against the pandemic. Financial Subsidy for the Needy Mentally Ill - Apply by January 1, 2023

Fu Tak Iam Foundation, Chow Tai Fook Foundation and Shih Wing Ching Foundation will subsidize the needy mentally-ill in Hong Kong who have financial difficulties to receive psychiatric treatment and psychological services in private practice. Applicants who are on CSSA will be provided with a full subsidy. Other low-income users will be subject to a means test, and will need to pay a small fee. Psycho-education, mindfulness, and exercise programs will also be provided via New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association and other NGOs. Lush Charity Pot Funding

Lush Charity Pot funds small, grassroots organisations that are working in the areas of animal protection, the environment, and human rights. Average grant is around HK$40,000 to HK$70,000 with a maximum of HK$120,000 per project. NWS Holdings Charities Foundation Gives Back to the Community

NWS Holdings Charities Foundation encourages registered voluntary or charitable organizations to apply for funding not exceeding HK$30,000 for their projects. The Foundation are interested in empowering the next generation, fostering a volunteering culture and promoting environmental sustainability. Applicants should submit a detailed proposal together with an application form completed. Application form should be submitted at least three months prior to the activity. HK Electric’s 'Smart Power Care Fund' support NGOs with various programs and subsidies

HK Electric’s 'Smart Power Care Fund' will provide subsidies to alleviate the continuing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and underprivileged families. The 'Energy-efficient Community Subsidy Programme' provides NGOs for the provision of education, community, welfare or transitional housing services with full subsidy up to HK$300,000. The 'Smart to Care Subsidy Programme' provides NGOs for the provision of caring, rehabilitation or residential services to the elderly, children or persons with disabilities, with the full subsidy up to HK$300,000. HK Electric also provides a subsidy capped at HK$30,000 for each eligible NGO community centre operating in HK Electric's supply territory to purchase food and beverages from "Care and Share" SME caterers for activities serving underprivileged families and the needy. Established in 2013, Link Together Initiatives is a flagship charity and community engagement programme of Link REIT. The programme has earmarked over $100 million to support eligible charitable organisations to launch services that benefit the communities near Link’s properties. PILnet - Employment Manual for Hong Kong NGOs

PILnet and Mayer Brown created the “Employment Manual,” a new resource for NGOs that guides organizations through the life cycle of an employment relationship. This guide is designed to help non-profit organizations and associations in Hong Kong understand and practicably apply labor law principles to their day-to-day operations. It does so by providing practical explanations of basic labor law concepts, how such concepts commonly apply to non-profit organizations in Hong Kong, and what steps your organization can take to minimize risks associated with such concepts. PILnet - Anti-Money Laundering Policy Template

More than ever, NGOs in Hong Kong need easy-to-implement policies to navigate the money laundering risks of their operations, including around fundraising activities. In response, PILnet has partnered with Davis Polk to create a template Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policy, specially tailored to NGOs in Hong Kong. The policy provides guidance on key areas such as money laundering and terrorist financing, risk assessments, due diligence, suspicious transaction reports (STR), and record keeping.
